We are an educational historical living-history unit organized in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The Valley was the home of the original 10th Virginia, and many of the current members are descendants of the original soldiers of the 10th. The purpose of our organization is educational; we help the general public increase their knowledge of, and interest in, the War Between the States.
Please take some time to view the rest of the pages on our site. We feel that here there is something for everyone. We welcome the chance to teach anyone who is interested in history. We also welcome new recruits; you do not need to be descended from a 10th Virginia soldier to become a welcome member of our ranks.
If you are interested in the history of the War Between the States, if you are looking for an unique experience and want to step back into the past some 140 years, if you want insight into the Virginia Valley Confederate soldier, and to take a break from regular life whether you are a plumber or a rocket scientist, then this is the unit for you!
